During August the Old Man played Schenley Park and Mt. Lebanon in Pittsburgh PA and Shennecossett in Groton CT, founded in 1897, 1907 and 1898 respectively. Expect to see their influence here at the Club. His experiments benefited from the company of his brother Tom at Schenley, old friend Frank Pollock at Lebo and brother Eric at "Shenny." Shenny was his first walk on a Donald Ross design. Another stop on the tour, New York City's Central Park, struck him as having great potential as a golf venue.

The signature on the delivery receipt is unintelligible. We were ready to return the meteor rejector, when someone had the bright idea to keep it. While the Board investigates its potential use to members, the meteor rejector, which is bigger than a bread box, is to be left alone. Bulletin: Because the meteor rejector may eventually save the planet, the Board has decided to keep it. The new possession is unlikely to draw the attention of defense departments around the world until annihilation comes knocking, so its presence should not interfere with normal operations.
